Integrating farming is not new in Nepal but combining animal husbandry, cropping, farm products with tourism and recreation is a very new concept. The newly adopted term has expanded the scope of farm related activities to encompass the entire gamut of farming that includes poultry or animal husbandry as well making farming a more comprehensive, all inclusive activities. At Prakriti, we are aiming to achieve self-sufficiency through integrated and sustainable farming practices that combine the cultivation of organic vegetables and other farm produce, animal husbandry and dairy production alongside the promotion of tourism and recreational activities. High priority is given here to healthy living – of both the body and the mind. Our organic farm is set alongside the resort and is constantly evolving to produce fresh and healthy vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices and dairy products for guests at the resort.
